Supernatural Sunday
By Paul Dale Roberts, HPI General Manager
www.hpiparanormal.netSomewhere in an alley in Old Sacramento, well to put it into perspective, right dab in the middle of 1023 Front Street and 1150 Firehouse Alley (Crescent Club), Shannon ‘Ms. Macabre’ put on a little afternoon delight, something she brewed up called Supernatural Sunday. The Deadlies belted out their heavy rock songs to the patrons who were sipping on champagne or cold white wine. As Eileen Boettcher – Door Person greeted the arriving patrons with a big smile, Shannon was busy DJing during the breaks for the band. As I surveyed the crowd, a local animated artist Nick Roberts was displaying his handiwork. Friends of Shannon, such as Carol Gillis, Tim H, Janine Lentz enjoyed this warm day and the tunes bellowing out from this alley that is kitty corner from Evangelines.

Complaints from a neighboring restaurant brought the police. Well, it was fun while it lasted. I left when the band disbanded only to be greeted by a local author named Rebecca Gonzalez. Yes, Rebecca the party is over as fast as it started.
I ended this Sunday by shopping in Evangelines and sipping coffee at Border’s Books – Bruceville in Elk Grove with my friend Teresa ‘Hui’ Tran, wishing in my mind that this beautiful weekend would not end. Oh well…
