Paul is having a flashback that takes him back to 1977. Paul's very first State job was being a firefighter for the California Division of Forestry, which is now CalFire. I was stationed at Colfax. We had a Summer fire that billowed out smoke that was so huge, it looked like an atom bomb blast. My Captain yelled at me to put out a spot fire. As I put out the spot fire, I turned around and there were flames that were 20 feet high. My Captain yelled for me to get into the roots of the fire. I could feel the intensity of the heat as it singed my hair. The Captain kept pushing me to get deeper into the roots of the fire and I knew if I went any deeper, I would be burned severely. I threw down the large hose and it went erratically all over the place due to the high tension of the water coming out of the hose. The Captain could not believe I threw down the hose and watched as I climbed up the fire truck and crossed my arms in defiance. He yelled for me to get down from the truck and I flipped him the bird and said F U I quit! That was the end of my firefighting days. Don't get me wrong, I admire the heroic feats of our present day firefighters and you must have it in your blood to be a firefighter. I didn't have it in my blood. The same thing goes with paranormal investigating, if you don't have it in your blood, you will not become a good investigator. With paranormal investigating, I must admit, I have it in my blood. HPI Paranormal Investigators Present: Debra Lee Barnes, Debra Ann Keller, Raquel Rodriguez, Becky Cardenas, Rhonda Hall, Ben Hall, John Shue/Videographer, Sandra Brandenberg, Drew Tadlock, Brittani Lantz. Lead Investigators Identified are: Ben Hall and Rhonda Hall. Paul Dale Roberts, HPI General Manager.

During our briefing we learned from the occupants that a book was thrown off the shelf and hit one of the occupant’s legs. One occupant said she saw a full body apparition in the living room, it appeared for two seconds. The apparition was described as a heavy set Caucasian woman with brown orange hair. She wore a long skirt, appeared to be in her 30s, she was not smiling. Shadow person jogger seen running across the wall, Shadow people seen walking up and down the 2nd floor hallway, going from one bedroom to another. I learned that a pastor used to live in this home. The pastor brought home troubled people; he was known to conduct a cleansing on them. Could it be that he brought home a troubled person, did a cleansing, things got intense and he did not properly close the ritual, opening a doorway for entities to come and go? A visitor of this family has been in the home and projected negative energy into the home, could the entities be feeding off this negative energy? One of the occupants who were considered a ‘high energy’ person, now feels drained all the time. Can the entities be taking the energy from this occupant?

FIRST INVESTIGATIVE SESSION:
Lead Investigators Identified are: Ben Hall and Rhonda Hall. In our first investigative session we captured many anomalies in our photographs. Strange lights coming out of the computer. Further analysis is required, because it could be a light anomaly caused by movement. Another light anomaly comes out that looks like a body, neck and head. Designer orbs are captured on the photographs. Disclaimer: Orbs are not positive proof of paranormal activity, unless you can determine intelligent movement via monitor and video footage. Strange shadows are obtained in still shots. Flash is being used and the second photographs, the strange shadows are not shown. One possible EVP of a moan. Further analysis of the EVP is required. Flashlight communication where flashlights are flashing or dimming with yes and no answers. These are mini mag flashlights and we will now determine if the yes or no answers have substance by utilizing a plastic flashlight for communication with the entities. Using the mag flashlights it answered ‘yes’ to being an imaginary friend to the child of the house and ‘yes’ to being an entity that the ex-boyfriend brought into the house. During our briefing, we learned the child had an imaginary friend and two of the investigators discussed imaginary friends that they used to have. Brittani had an imaginary friend named Josh in a red shirt and Debbie Lee Barnes had an imaginary friend named Tom the Boogie Man.

Equipment Being Utilized:
Digital audio recorders, night vision goggles, digital cameras, mini mag flashlights, digital video cameras, flashlights.

SECOND INVESTIGATIVE SESSION:
Rhonda’s group captured no EVPs, they actually did some provoking with no results. The provoking got as far where they were calling the entity ‘Helen Keller’, referring to the deaf and blind historical character, because they would not receive any responses. The flashlight experiment did not work. Ben’s group obtained no EVPs and no anomalies in their photographs.

THIRD INVESTIGATIVE SESSION:
Exceptional EVPs were captured. Class A EVP that says Caleb, a Hebrew name and a name of a biblical character. Cold spots felt. EVPs that said ‘what?’ and a moan EVP. 2 taps were heard on the wall as if answering a question. Brittani felt a closing of her throat and then an EVP was captured. Pink orb was caught on video.

ACTIVITY: Objects move around; things fly off shelves; friends are touched or hit; 2 shadow people who walk together - move from room to room; jogger shadow runs across wall; voices heard all over. SPECIAL NOTE: Roseanne, the occupant has not confirmed this investigation, if she cancels, my Plan B is described below. PLAN B: Occupant: Laura (Frew) Branham. Location to be at: Suncountry Lane, Sacramento, CA 95828 / Activity: Elderly gentleman in her bedroom. Date of Investigation: Dec 4, 2010, Saturday. Time of Investigation: 1900 Hours.

EVELYN MARNEE MARDONES STORY
Evelyn has had paranormal activity follow her throughout her life. It started in El Salvadore, when her deceased grandmother would appear to her and say 'hola'. Then she moved to Los Angeles/Huntington Park, an entity touched her and temporarily paralyzed her, she wanted to scream, but couldn't. Then finally in Roseville, her dogs would bark at unseen things and when this happened the air conditioner would turn off and on, on its own.

CYMANDE JACKSON STORY
While living in Chico, CA, she would constantly feel a presence. The presence would constantly walk up to her bed and then stop, as the entity seemed to be standing at the edge of her bed. It became maddening to her, she would always hear these disembodied footsteps throughout her home. Then one night she had a dream of a boy, 7 to 8 years old, the boy looked sick, she could hear his steps in the dream and even felt his feet. She screamed for him to go into the light and the haunting stopped.
