Morbid Mike and the House on Bradshaw & Jackson Empty
PostSubject: Morbid Mike and the House on Bradshaw & Jackson   Morbid Mike and the House on Bradshaw & Jackson Icon_minitimeSat Jan 26, 2008 4:25 pm

Paranormal Investigator Chris Grissom and I, have been by this raggedy abandoned house on Bradshaw and Jackson a hundred times and wondered if this old house was haunted. This day December 30, 2007, Sunday, we planned to set out to discover if this house is haunted or not. I prepared a scouting team, the team consisted of paranormal investigators Chris Grissom, Cherie Vincent and Pika aka Whiteknight Pika or Whitechapel Pika. Pika is a Jack Russell Terrier and a sensitive. On his vintage geneology papers he is known as Whiteknight Pika or Whitechapel Pika, because of his pure breed bloodline. Pika has been on a few investigations at cemeteries and has been known to bark at an area of question, where nothing can be seen. He did this at the Broadway cemetery and actually encircled the area barking like a rabid mad dog. His eyes followed the unseen force to the trees where he finally stopped his barking, while T-Rex my Chow was oblivious to the event. That is why Pika gets to go on certain scouting missions with me, while poor T-Rex remains at home watching the Animal Channel. Pika is very intelligent and when riding in the Ghost Tracker with me, will roll down the electric windows on his own, to place his head outside. He is also aware of traffic and cars and I never have to worry about him going into the street and being hit by a car. Anyway, this article is not just about Pika, but it's about a scouting investigation.

Pika and I, are waiting on the other half of the scouting team. Paranormal Investigator Cherie Vincent pulls up in her 92 Ford Mustang affectionately called the 'Headless Horseman'. What is unusual about her car is that there is a plastic leg and foot poking out from the trunk of her car. Cherie is excited about the scouting mission and presents me with a post Christmas present, she gave me 4 beautiful Christmas tree ornaments and I gave her a Christmas present too. I gave her a Christmas stocking! We sit in Starbucks and order 2 vinte caramel mocha frappachinos and some pastry and go over some old investigations. We sit waiting for Chris Grissom and Chris calls to tell us that he will be unable to make this scouting mission, because he is ill. I tell Chris, that I will keep his appraised on our findings throughout the investigation, so Chris is virtually with us during this investigation. Cherie, Pika and I head out of the Starbucks parking lot in the Ghost Tracker and our first stop is the Edward Kelley School, which was built in 1869. We do an outside perimeter investigation, using 1 electronic digital voice recorder for EVPs, 1 digital camera and 2 Listen Up Sound Enhancers. On one of the digital photos, we take a picture of what looks like a light anomaly. On my digital camera, I see an orb through my camera lens moving sideways and then up, I snap the photo and I received a light anomoly to the right hand side of the photo with the orb centered in the middle. This could be some kind of light refraction because of the window that separates us from the actual interior of the room. I don't count this as evidence, but the photo should be analyzed for further assessment, just to make sure what may have caused this abberation in light.

Our next stop was the abandoned home at Bradshaw and Jackson. Looking at this rundown home, it looks haunted, or it's a kind of house you would imagine would be haunted, due to its warped weather beaten appearance. The story I received from a source that wishes to remain unidentified said that this house in 1970 had a suicide that took place inside the home. A hippie type of guy lived in this home, the neighbors called him Morbid Mike, because he had newspaper clippings of the Sharon Tate murders hanging on his wall. He had a morbid fascination with Charles Manson. One night he committed suicide in his bathtub, by slitting his wrists and when the police found him dead in the bathtub with the bath water crimson red, the music of Black Sabbath was still blaring from his record player, that kept playing the record over and over again from the beginning.

As Cherie and I did our preliminary investigation of this home, one of the neighbors pulled up to see what we were doing, I interviewed him for this article. He tells me his name is Billy Giffin. He says that the house is 145 years old and he has heard that the house is haunted. He tells me that a guy named Tuffie and his mom owned this property and most of the property was lost in a card game that Tuffie's mom got involved in. Both Tuffie and his mom are deceased. I ask him if he ever heard the Morbid Mike story and he was not able to confirm this story and only knew of Tuffie and his mom who once owned this property. I asked him why this old house is not torn down and Billy says that the County is considering it as a historical landmark. At this location, Cherie picks up on her Listen Up Sound Enhancer, the word..."hey". On one of my photos of this residence, I pick up an unusual light source and a bright orb. Pika finds two locations underneath the house and grain bin that has him excited. Cherie and I, came to the conclusion that there was some kind of animal that Pika was going after in these two locations. I call Chris and tell him about our scouting investigation and Chris who lives close to both structures (the school and the house) will eventually do his own investigation during evening hours to see what he can discover. This concluded our investigation for today and I drove Cherie back to her car called the 'The Headless Horseman'. Cherie at a later time this evening checked for possible EVPs. At the abandoned home, she was crawling through some barbwire fence, I yelled at her to be careful. Her electronic digital recorder was running and when she played it back, she could hear my voice say ‘be careful’ and another male voice that said two things, they were: “be careful” and “watch out!” Another EVP at the abandoned house was a voice that sounded like it had sucked up some helium, the voice said “can you see me?” Cherie was able to pick up 3 EVPs today.

Pika and I, headed home. As I was driving down Bradshaw Road near Gerber, I see a man lying on the street surrounded by fire trucks and police cars. The man looked dead, as his limbs were all twisted. It reminded me that death will always be around the corner, if you're looking for it or not. It's a fact of life. As I saw that gruesome sight on the road, I had to cheer myself up and turned on the radio and Chic’s Good Times came on. It’s funny how songs will give you flashbacks of yesteryear. This song reminded me of when I was a movie extra for Skatetown USA and Rollerboogie. I had to learn how to roller disco quickly and my cousin took me out on a parking lot in Los Angeles to teach me how to disco skate. I threw on Good Times on my 8-Track and my training commenced! I kept falling and people gathered around to watch my training escapade. Finally, I was able to stay on my feet, I was skating and dancing! The people who gathered to watch me learn how to disco skate cheered, I was ready for my audition! The audition was a success. Now here is one more story about Chic. Being the former Disco King in Sacramento, I never had to wait in a line to get into a nightclub, I was always allowed to jump in front of the line and sit in the VIP booth. One night the actual band Chic walked into Galactica 2000 and the owner came over to me and kicked me out of the VIP booth, so Chic could sit down. I was furious and for a while I stopped listening to Chic’s music. Of course the past is the past and I have no grudges listening to Chic again. I must admit this disco flashback got my mind off that car accident. I know, I know, my mind works in crazy ways! Happy New Year to everyone!
