Cats are largely known, as well as other Halloween animals,
like dogs & owls, to collect bones & also bury them in the Earth.
Sometimes they return to dig them back up.
The bones of saints are widely believed to hold mystical properties over
the living,
even some believing the saints could be resurrected if preserved properly enough.

If the saint's body happens to be permanently saved,
then certain physicalitys could be considered as a church relic-
such as oil, left on the body.
Churches are the main collectors of the bodies & bones of saints.
The body of Jesus Christ is thought to be immensely powerful,
even in a spiritual form and those religious worshippers of Christianity,
seek to touch even the slightest piece of fabric,
possessed by the holy living.

Clare of Assisi was an Italian saint and one of the first followers of Francis of Assisi.
St. Clare of Assisi, who died in 1253 is now a preserved skeleton, residing in a crypt in the church named for her in Assisi, clothed with a wax mask and hand covers.
She was born in Assisi during the High Middle Ages, the eldest daughter of Favarone or Favorino Sciffi, Count of Sasso-Rosso and his wife Ortolana.
She came from a very wealthy family,
who owned a castle & perhaps inspired her love for the spiritual,
rather than material.
Her father was so wealthy he owned a large palace in Assisi and a castle on the slope of Mount Subasio.

A grave is a more final place of residence,
however, the graves of saints will always be tampered with.
This is largely due to the allure that they held over people,
both while living & dead.
We still seek to understand this power, even by today's measures.
Another notable Italian saint is Lucy.
Since 400, Lucy herself was being noticed as a martyr by Christians in Europe.
Around the 1100s the first monks reached Sweden. With this passage,
brought with them stories of St. Lucy and devotion began subsequently.
In paintings, she is depicted with several items.
For example,
"Saint Lucy, by Niccolò di Segna mid 14th-century Sienese painting, circa 1340."
She is found holding the dagger with which she was ultimately executed with, as well as a lamp, her attribute.
She also wears a beautiful golden crown with jewels,
especially of red and dark blue tones. Her body is shrouded in gold fabrics and energy,
a metallic sensation of blood will reside in your mind, as you view her depiction of holiness & death.
Following her conversion to Christianity, she was subjected to a series of tortures, all of which she miraculously survived.
She herself was a passionate woman who stood up for all her beliefs in any matter, whether it was for her good or for others.
To be a saint, one must be credited with performing miraculous deeds, however her story is known of one of martyrdom -why she even had her eyes torn out to confess her love for Christianity.
She didn't want to marry a pagan & so she was forced into prostitution by the government,
where she vehemently denied all the workings of immorality & professed to a holy nature,
above anything.
She was said to bring food to other martyrs of Christianity & some orthodox religions, while they were proclaiming their testimonies, in passing.
She was finally executed by being stabbed to death with a dagger. It is said that her eyes were miraculously returned just before she died.

The bones of St. Nicholas, who inspired the legend of Santa Claus, were believed to have been buried in Newtown Jerpoint in the 12th century.
He is the saint attributed with being the inspiration for Christmas!
He is known as a protector of children,
for such reasons as this popular story!
Three children looking for an inn after school find a place which is run by a butcher.
He offers them a place to rest yet,
While they slumber, the butcher kills them, chops them up, and puts their disassembled bodies in a pickling barrel.
Just as this is all happening,
A knock sounds at the door
& a royal bishop appears looking for meat.
The butcher says
we don't have any but,
he does not leave.
He becomes infatuated with the barrel and demands to see what is inside of it.
He prays over the tub then and instead of loose body parts spilling-
the three whole, fully alive boys come out, unscathed.
In France, folklore suggests that Nicholas puts the butcher in chains and forces him into servitude as a punishment.
So, later on-
he is credited with the protection of children.
Another tale suggests he resurrected a dead sailor from the water.
