Comments: Brad Steiger is a man with many titles. Call him a ghost hunter. Call him a demonologist. Call him a Ufologist. For this book, call him a cryptozoologist. The reason why, is that this book talks about a long range of cryptids. Some of the cryptids he talks about are the large black cats seen in countries like England. There is talk of Bigfoot, large black dogs, the bogey man, demons, dinosaurs, flying humanoids, giant snakes, goblins, Headless Horsemen, Shadow People, Thunderbirds and the list goes on and on. Brad is a great researcher of the paranormal. I was reading Brad's books when I was 8 years old. I learned from the best and I credit Brad Steiger in teaching me on all things paranormal. This book is definitely a book that should go into your private library. Just when I thought I knew everything about the paranormal, I pick up this book and learn a whole lot more. You will find information on the Abandondero - they live under the surface of the Earth. They have massive cities underground. They were not able to leave our planet and decided to live underground where it is safe for them. In this book is information about how some mountain climbers in 1981 had a friendly encounter with Yeti in the Soviet mountains. There are some incredible stories and creatures mentioned in this book. In October 1890, citizens of Independence, Ohio came across a winged monstrocity, that had a head with horns, a mouth like an alligator. If you think that is strange, how about in November 20, 1930 in Cairo, Illinois, a hunter shot a bird larger than an ostrich, weighed 140 pounds. The bird monster had one foot like a duck and another foot like a turkey. Colors on the bird were white, the head fiery red, wings dark black. As you move on with this book, you get stories on werewolves and the Beast of Bray Road. You probably have seen the History Channel's Swamp People as they hunt Burmese pythons in the Everglades. Well, in this book you will learn about the monster anacondas of Brazil. They make the snakes in Florida look like simple garter snakes. If you want thrills, you will find it in Real Monsters by Brad Steiger! This book is scary as all heck!
