Paul Dale Roberts - Deanna Jaxine Stinson are the Location Scouts for Discovery Channel's Ghost Adventures. Below are emails from Justin West - Producer of Ghost Adventures in which he mentions me and Deanna as finding this location. The next email is a response from Jolissa Hebard of the Bodie Hotel. Jolissa accepts the investigation by Ghost Adventures.

Hello Justin,

Thank you for reaching out to us at The Bodie Hotel. We are familiar with your show and there is definitely a lot of stories & experiences that have transpired here at the hotel. My wife and I have personally had some over the past 1.5 years we’ve owned it, while living here.
There are plenty of townsfolk who have also had a lot of experiences that they’ve shared with us over the years including ex housekeepers and handy men.

We are open through October and once we received a tentative date for the taping, we could possibly clear the schedule of guests during that time if the hotel was rented by the show. We only have 6 rooms that we rent out (we live downstairs in the 3 other rooms and one upstairs is currently unavailable to guests but would definitely be available to be investigated as it’s got a lot of paranormal activity). All rooms would be available for you to use.

There are several other cool & unique paranormal sites in & around the town of Bridgeport including the old jail which is open to the public and was built in 1883 and was in service until 1964. It’s right across the street from our hotel. In addition, there are 2 old abandoned gold mines & mills in the surrounding hills about 9 miles away that would be great for content & filming.

We look forward to your correspondence and can be reached by cell at (714) 642-7287 if you wish to speak to us.

Best regards,

Jeff & Jolissa Hebard

Hello,

My name is Justin, and I'm a researcher for the Discovery Series, Ghost Adventures. I'm writing in reference to a referral that a dear friend of the show, Paul Dale Roberts and his wife Deanna Jaxine Stinson sent to us a while back.

We've hit walls with the state parks office regarding filming in the historic town of Bodie, but then I remembered your hotel. The Bodie Hotel being the only building to be moved from the original townsite speaks volumes I'm sure of the history, and I'm assuming that has led to a great deal of ghost stories and experiences.

If you're open to the potential of doing an episode of Ghost Adventures on the property, I'd like to create a pitch for your location so the team can review it for this fall/Winter lineup of episodes needing fulfillment.

Each episode is filmed over the course of three days, from Tuesdays to Thursdays, and we typically document at night, as is the nature of our programming.

Attached is a detailed synopsis, which has a tentative schedule and some other information about the series. Let me know if you have any questions and what the potential available could be like for us if the team decides to investigate. Thanks so much, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Warm regards,

Justin West
