Paranormal Hotline Call received at 14:30pm (Pacific Time). Caller: Nojus Bukantas. Location: Newport Beach, CA. Nojus tells me that he went back to his homeland of Lithuania to see his friends and relatives. When he returned back to the States, he experienced misfortune. Everything seemed to be crashing down. Nojus was arguing with his wife more often. Nojus got into a terrible car accident and totaled his vehicle. His two children caught Covid. Nojus believes that when he went back to Lithuania, he picked up on a curse. Nojus tells me that he believes he brought home a demon from Lithuania. I asked Nojus, why does he feel he has a demon residing in his house? Nojus tells me that he saw a demon in his swimming pool. The demon raised up from the water and it was all black. The demon had long lean arms, thin fingers, red eyes. Nojus believes this demon is the Baubas demon. The Baubas demon haunts the land of Lithuania.

When Nojus was visiting his family, they took him to the area where Dubingiai Castle once stood. The castle is in ruins and the only thing that remains of the castle are several cellars, some of the foundation, and the church. Nojus tells me that the land where this castle once stood is very haunted. Locals have seen Kaukas (little people that resemble leprechauns) running about and hiding in the bushes. Other little people that are seen are Nykstukas (which resemble gnomes). Nojus tells me that he thinks he picked up on the curse, because he threw a glass bottle at the foundation of the castle and jokingly cursed at the little people. Nojus tells me that this castle was constructed by Vytautas, Grand Duke of Lithuania, in 1412-1413. The castle was built on this island that is now referred to as a peninsula on Lake Asveja. The purpose of the castle was to secure the capital of Vilnius from attacks from Livonia.

Nojus tells me that the people of Lithuania are tossing around the idea of rebuilding the castle. Nojus feels that what he did by throwing that glass bottle, he showed disrespect to the spirit world. Because of this, it brought on the curse that now bedevils Nojus and his family. When Nojus was leaving the grounds of where the castle ruins were, he caught a glimpse of a wicked looking lady in a long blue gown. The wicked looking lady disappeared into one of the cellars. Nojus feels he met up with the Witch of Dubingiai Castle. Legend has it that she worked at the castle as a housemaid and committed suicide. This reminded me when I went to the Historic Marysville City Cemetery and one of my investigators saw a wicked looking lady in a long blue gown hovering over some gravesites. It's interesting that my investigator saw this. I only wonder if this could be the same witch that is seen at Dubingiai Castle. The reason why it's a possibility is that the Russian colonists were in the Sacramento area in 1841. Perhaps some of the colonists are buried at the Marysville City Cemetery? Maybe, maybe not. I do know that some of the survivors of the Donner Party and possibly Charles E. Boles aka Black Bart are buried at this cemetery. Black Bart is supposed to be in an unmarked grave.

Locals and tourists have seen apparitions and strange moving shadows at Dubingiai Castle. Locals believe the apparitions and shadows are the spirits of the Polish-Lithuanian-Swedish Wars. The castle was ransacked by armies that were loyal to the King of Poland and the Grand Duke of Lithuania. The castle was eventually taken from Bogusław Radziwiłł. It was eventually returned to the family in the second half of the 17th century. The neglected castle and church gradually fell into ruins. The castle grounds were eventually sold to Michał Tyszkiewicz in 1808. Nojus says that perhaps if the castle is rebuilt, the negative entities that haunt the land will leave. I explained to Nojus on how to bless his home. Nojus is going to follow my instructions of getting a full submersion baptism for his whole family. Nojus is Catholic and will be consulting his priest. CASE PENDING.
