"Hi Ryan! Yes, the Padre Hotel has lots of history and it's definitely haunted. The night that I spent there, I felt a creepy little girl next to me, whispering something in my ear. Later on in the night, I felt the tugging of my big toe...and the more I tried to ignore it, more of a tug I got. I had to bring my psychic medium wife over there and she knew nothing about the place, but she saw children running down the hallway, giggling, laughing and then screaming. Thanks Paul.The weirdest thing is after doing some archive research and speaking to the historical society at bakersfield high no one can seem to find any news clippings of death at the hotel. granted there are probably many newspapers that have not been scanned into the database. Im continuing to search for victims of the fire, the earthquake or suicides from the roof. If you find anything please send it my way.

That is amazing Paul. I also have a local historian working with his class at Bakersfield High looking into any deaths at the hotel. They did find a suicide in 1969. He claims there was definitely no death from the earthquake as they found some seismograph data that showed the building was in good shape after but who knows.

awesome yeah i came across a few of the same articles. look like the most damage from the quake was just a couple blocks. That suicide i hadnt heard before thats now two we have on record. i think the place does draw suicide. I think I know where the children came from. The Yowlumne Indians that lived on the land that is now known as Bakersfield, many thousands of Yowlumne died, including children. When the little girl was whispering in my ear, I couldn't understand a word what she was saying..she may have been talking in her native language.

There was outbreaks of malaria...the slaughter of the Yowlumne and of course they were killing adults and children. Where the Padre Hotel sits..many Yowlumne tribes settled in that area.

You are welcome....and many times when homes or buildings are built on haunted land...hauntings will take place. Case example we used to get a lot of calls from these newly built homes in the Pocket Area of Sacramento, these homes were haunted. Reason being is that they were built over a Portegeuse cemetery.

Ryan, also to let you know, my wife put out an ad on craigslist for people that had paranormal experiences at the Padre Hotel and she has been getting responses, there is even a guy that lived 2 houses down from the Padre Hotel and he had all kinds of experiences.

Hey Paul. Think we are pressing ahead. I would take the ad down as our production likes to keep that kind of thing in house if you dont mind, the network is very sensitive to third parties participting in that way. Although feel free to pass along the people who have had experiences there and i can contact them. We tend to like to do our own research and casting outreach so it doesn't feel like we are forcing it. I appreciate the effort though. Also was discussing your wife's experiences with our team and it seems like we might not be able to use her as they would like first-hand accounts of people that have actually been inside the hotel and as i understand it even though she has picked up on feelings and had visions she actually never went inside. We can maybe revisit her as a witness if anthing changes from now until we shoot in a month or so though.

U know what ill just tell u and u tell me if u think its worth compensating.....I did overnight security there in 2010 after the renovations...1 of my duties was to walk every floor every hour throughout the night...1 night I went up to start my rounds as I exited the elevator to start on the east wing I saw a figure oddly enough wearing what looked to me to be a tuxedo at least from what i saw heading towards the roof top access stairs so I said excuse me sir excuse me he kept walking so I followed him still saying "excuse me nobody's allowed up"....but as I made the last turn where I should've seen him again cuz the door at the top was always locked there was nobody or nothing there...a few weeks after that I was talking to one of the patrons in the bar who started telling me a story from when it was opened before of a wedding that was supposed to happen there but the groom waited for lime 3 hours bride never showed up so groom went to the top and jumped, as they were cleaning him up bride shows up bitbit was too late....and thats just 1 experience I had there
