The Golden Egg Legend
According to online dictionary, folklore & encyclopedic sources-
Hiraṇyagarbha (Sanskrit: हिरण्यगर्भः ; literally the 'golden womb' or 'golden egg', poetically translated as 'universal womb') is the source of the creation of universe or the manifested cosmos in Vedic philosophy. It is known as the vessel of existence in the cosmos, by the creator God, Brahma, representing his birth and substance as well. The Golden egg is also an important theme in German and English themed folk fairytales as well, particularly of the goose.

In dreams the Golden egg represents extreme wealth & richness. It is a sure sign of longstanding prosperity and gold, essentially. In fairytales there is an extra dimensional theme, which is laid through various stories of which the Goose which will lay the golden egg can be related to something fantasy like but, not impossible- like the holy grail. The goose that lays the golden egg can be a child, or a partner, a machine- invention or anything really, as it is a concept.

The Golden Egg

So, if you are wondering where my interests started with the Golden Egg, it was on Easter day when the other children and I were dying chicken eggs to be used in a game to hunt and win the rights to the art world, food or competition- however way you saw it. It is an American tradition in the spring time to fill up your basket with various treats, real eggs and plastic ones as well, to see who is the luckiest and fastest (most blessed by the gods).

Well, at my daycare- we were using regular colors to dye our eggs and I was super fascinated by the process and it really got me excited! I didn't care much for the other parts of Easter celebrations, besides the art and so I was really focused. I spent so much longer than the other kids, who had lost interest putting it together, that the daycare leader had to sit with me individually, for hours until I felt my art was done!

Suddenly, after dipping it a final time in the red toned waters, I shrieked with excitement because it had turned a gorgeous glowing gold color and it was so remarkable. The woman snatched it right out of my hands, so that I never even had a chance to admire it for more than a moment and announced the start of the games. I was so distraught that I refused to participate and the boy who found the egg was so mad about the whole thing as well to that he wouldn't let me see it and broke it instead.

Looking back, what that boy showed me was actually a really hard lesson to learn in artistry- Do I own every piece of my spirit essentially?- as I had felt myself being put into the egg I had created in an artistic context, but it was for us all. To me, it was holy, sacred and supernatural- yet to him, there was nothing special about it- in fact, it was just like any other egg and he shattered it to show me my own arrogance. But, at the time I was furious as I wanted to inspect it and analyze it.

The Golden Egg
Now, I know that this was one of many great signs from God, that was shown to me to help guide me on my path as an artist. When I was younger, I wanted to make the people around me happy, so I could have peace and harmony with them. But, it was a false illusion as the waves inside of me were unsettled. They wanted me to find high honors in a material world, so as to support them financially and impress society, yet I knew I was God's.

The golden egg is a cosmic force. It is a curse breaker. Now, I accept myself as a creator, an expresser, a medium myself and an artist, in whatever purpose and form the Gods carry me through and I remain intact with the protection of truth & love. When you are very little and vulnerable, most things are very scary! This is a song that we used to sing to each other, while you make spiderwebs on the person, from their heads and shoulders, to toes- like an egg running - (no idea where it started!)

"Crack an Egg"
A Nursery Rhyming Game

"Crack an egg on your head- let the yolk run down-

Crack an egg on your back- let the yolk run down

Crack an egg on your head let the yolk run down- (proceeding onwards and then finally,)-

Cracked an egg now the yolk ran down, no worries, no sins, no pains etc (many variations)"

It will also remove curses and I am not completely sure where we got it from, but we started doing that to each other as well, without realizing it was a form of ritual or witchcraft and you could definitely feel the power in it and the release of negative energy- as egg yolks are very vital essential nutrients of our life force and spiritual as well!
