Place of Death: Hatton Veterinary Hospital, 7615 Sheldon Road, Elk Grove, CA

The last few days, terrible things were happening to Story. Story is my Aushire (1/2 Australian Terrier) and (1/2 Yorkshire Terrier). Story had 3 eye styes. Both of his eyes were oozing pus. Deanna was constantly cleaning his eyes. Story had little energy, didn't want to go on his walks. He started losing his appetite. He would drink excessive amounts of water and then would throw up the water. We gave him digestive type of dog food to see if that would help. Then today, we saw little red bumps all over his stomach. Enough was enough, it was time to take him to the vet. The doctor did a diagnostic check-up and to my shock and dismay, I learn that Story has anemia, is a diabetic and has a pancreatitis infection. The doctor says Story was already in "shock". The doctor was very honest with me and said..."Paul, you can pay up to $8000.00 to help him, but there is no guarantee that he would survive. Story is dying. He would also need a blood transfusion. The best thing is to let him go." Deanna and I, cried and cried and cried. God, we love this dog, he was like our child. The memories of Story will last forever. Story is family.

Story on his own, would walk Deanna to the car and make sure she was inside the car. He would LOVE to cuddle and sleep with us. He loved his many walks. He loved riding in the car and going to different places and parks. He loved play fighting with his brother Champagne (a Chihuahua). Champagne and Story would pretend to bite each other in the throat, wrestle and do zoomies around the house. They loved going to fast food restaurants and getting some chicken nuggets. On special days, I would feed both of them steaks. Story and Champagne would howl everytime they heard sirens. They would also sometimes howl to a song on the radio. Deanna and I, stayed with Story on his last moments hugging him. Story we will always love you. You have our hearts. I remember the first day that we got you, your owner was this mean lady that placed an ad on Craig's List and said if someone didn't take you by tomorrow, you were going to the dog pound. We jumped on the opportunity to adopt you. The mean lady brought you to our home and told Deanna..."good luck". We learned that this mean lady never gave you walks, kept you in the apartment all day, while she was at work. Plus, the mean lady lied about your age. When she dropped you off, you were soooo scared, your little heartbeat was beating very heavy. The next day I walked you and you got loose from me and ran back to our house, you remembered where we live. You didn't trust me in the first few days, because I wasn't there when they dropped you off, because the lightrail I was on caught fire. It caused a delay in me getting home, but fortunately Deanna was home and was able to take you in. After you died today, I brought you home and buried you in my yard, I want you close to me and Deanna, you meant so much to us. You were our protector, you were our son. Love you forever Story. Forever.

Special Note: Story and his brother Champagne are K-9 Paranormal Investigators and attended various paranormal investigations. They would sometimes bark at things that we could not see.
